Dr. Debra from

UC Irvine is Times Higher Education ranked UC Irvine as number one of all United States universities and number seven in the top 100 global universities under fifty-years-old in 2014. It offers 80 undergraduate degrees and 98 graduate degrees. It is also the largest employer in Orange County.


Dr. Debra is a Developmental and Cell Biology professor at UC Irvine. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry at Purdue University. She then earned her master's in Developmental Molecular Biology at Marquette University. She has many various academic distinctions and publications.  


Dr. Debra has been a staple in AISS summer program. She has a class once a week during the summer dedicated to teaching science and enhancing the scholars' knowledge. She also serves on the AISS Advisory Committee. Without her dedication, our AISS program would not be the same.
