Osvaldo Arambulo, Valley High School

 

 

Osvaldo currently attends UC San Diego and is majoring in Biomedical Engineering. He is a recipient of the Gates Millenium Scholarship. During his high school career, he maintained a 4.5 GPA. Osvaldo is an extremely talented student in math and chemistry and wants to pursue his professional career as a biomedical engineer. Osvaldo is a young man who has a passion to volunteer. At Valley High School, he was very involved in cross country and is a part of a youth leadership organization. 

Carmen Avalos, Saddleback High School

 

 

Carmen is a student at UC Berkeley, studying Biochemistry. At Saddleback High School, she carried a 4.6 GPA. Carmen is an overachieving student in the subjects of chemistry and science whose ultimate goal is to become a biochemist. Carmen was part of the National Honor Society, the French club, MESA, Red Cross and the Young Senators program.

Irene Beltran, Segerstrom High School

 

 

Irene is studying at UC Irvine and majoring in Biomedical Engineering. During her time at Segerstromg, she held a 4.6 GPA. Irene excels in math and is an analytical student who aspires to become engineer. 

Frank Cabada, Godinez High School

 

 

Frank goes to Columbia University and studies Computer Science. with a 4.80 GPA. Frank is an overachiever in math and wants to become a mechanical engineer since he is the type of individual who loves challenges and has a persistent attitude.

Irene Beltran, Segerstrom High School

 

 

Irene is studying at UC Irvine and majoring in Biomedical Engineering. During her time at Segerstromg, she held a 4.6 GPA. Irene excels in math and is an analytical student who aspires to become engineer. 

Jorge Campos, Valley High School

 

 

Jorge studies at Santa Ana College. He aspires to be a future engineer. Jorge is very studious and persistent which led him to become an excellent math and chemistry student. This scholar aspires to become an engineer and sees himself as an innovator.

Gyanna Canez, Segerstrom High School

 

 

Gyanna attends Mills College, studying Nursing. In high school, she had a 4.66 GPA Gyanna is a student who has demonstrates great leadership not only in math and science, but also strives to be an example of perseverance to her peers. She is a former member of the Advanced Drama Production class and hopes to obtain a career in nursing.

Ricardo Castro, Godinez High School

 

 

Ricardo is a student at UC Berkeley and is majoring in Electrical Engineering. In high school, he had a 4.6 GPA. Ricardo over excels in math and loves technology. He is punctual and studious student who aspires to become a computer engineer. 

Jose De La Torre, Santa Ana High School

 

 

Jose is currently studying Math and Civil Engineering at Chapman University. He is a recipient of the Heide Scholarship. He completed high school with a 4.8 GPA. Jose has always aspired to become a Civil Engineer and has always demonstrated a strong character that shows responsibility. He excels in math and science. Jose is a former member of the Football Team at Santa Ana High School.

Anthony Gutierrez, Century High School

 

 

Anthony attends CSU Monterey Bay where he is majoring in Marine Science and minoring in Math. At Century High School, he held a 4.05 GPA. He’s is an excellent student in math and an aspiring marine biologist. Anthony understands the value of helping sustain life in the ocean. Anthony recognizes that to always work hard and maintain a positive outlook in life is a valuable characteristic which will help him succeed in his academic endeavors. Anthony is a former member of the school soccer, football and baseball teams, and was a part of the NHS (National Honors Society), principles honors roll, and AVID.

Guadalupe Martinez, Santa Ana High School

 

 

Guadalupe goes to Orange Coast College, studying Math. At Santa Ana High School, she had a 4.0 GPA. Guadalupe was part of the Dance Production Team and the Folkloric program at Santa Ana High. She is interested in math and is excited to see how much she can incorporate with it.

Maria Mayorga, Santa Ana High School

 

 

Maria studies at UC Riverside. Along with studying she currently works at HealthNet. She aspires to be a future doctor. She graduated from Santa Ana High School with a 3.85 GPA. Maria is a confident outstanding biology master who aspires to be a biomedical engineer. Maria is a former member of the California Scholars Federation, Spanish Club, Red Cross Club, and in JV Softball.  

Omar Munoz, Segerstrom High School

 

 

Omar is a student at UC Irvine where he studies Electrical Engineering. At Segerstrom High School, he carried a 4.3 GPA. Omar over excels in math and aspires to become an engineer. He was a very active member of the cross country team.

Jennifer Nava, Valley High School

 

 

Jennifer currently attends Denison University, studying Biomedical Engineering. During high school, she held a 4.2 GPA. Jennifer has excelled in biology and eventually wants to become a biomedical engineer.

Gabriela Pichardo, Century High School

 

 

Gabriela studies at UC Irvine. She aspires to be a future engineer. She graduated high school with a 4.40 GPA. Gabriela is an excellent student in math and her greatest attribute is being a responsible young lady. Gabriela is a former member of the National Honor Society, the EAOP program and in the Academic Talent Search Program. She enjoys volunteering during her free time.

Karina Silva, Century High School

 

 

Karina currently studies Biomedical Engineering at UC Davis. At Century High School, she carried a 4.00 GPA. Karina is strong in Math and is an aspiring pediatrician with a persistent go getter attitude. In high school, Karina is participated in cross country and liked to tutor math for her peers.

Cassandra Silvas, Saddleback High School

 

 

Cassandra attends UCLA where she is majoring in English. in high school, Cassandra had a 4.5 GPA. Cassandra was a part of AVID, MESA, and the Red Cross Club. Cassandra is a hard working student who excels in chemistry.

Jonathan Toribio, Valley High School

 

 

Jonathan studies at UCLA. He is on the Pre-Med track, majoring in Microbiology, Immununology, and Molecular Genetics, and minoring in Environmental Engineering. He graduated high school with a 4.7 GPA. Jonathan is a talented student that has shown leadership in his academics by excelling in math and chemistry. Jonathan has set his goal to become a medicinal doctor because he wants to help others and learn new things. This scholar is very involved in his education as well as extracurricular activities. At Valley High School, he participated in th California Scholars Federation, AVID, Honors Principal Role, Upper Bound and Young Senators Program.

Guadalupe Martinez, Santa Ana High School

An Ngo, Godinez High School

 

 

An is studying Chemical Biology at UC Berkeley. He attended Godinez High School and graduated with a 4.35 GPA. He’s an exceptional student in math and science who will soon be studying the field of biomedical science and technology. An was a member of the school’s orchestra, ACE, MESA, and the Academic Decathlon.

Amy Perez, Saddleback High School

 

 

Amy goes to UCLA where she is majoring in English. At Saddleback High School, she maintained a 4.6 GPA. She’s great with math and has various career goals she is pursuing. She is a former member of the high school soccer team and also ran cross country and track. She was also a part of the MESA and EAOP clubs at Saddleback.  

Juan Ruiz, Santa Ana High School

 

 

Juan is a student at Cal Poly Pomona. He is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. In high school, he held a 3.93 GPA. Juan aspires to become a civil engineer who is interested in this field because he wants to understand the connection to life mechanisms and everything else.
