Valley High school, B.S. in Public Health UCSD, Masters in Health Policy Johns Hopkins University

Osvaldo graduated from UC San Diego with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health and Johns Hopkins University with a Masters in Health Policy. He is a recipient of the Gates Millenium Scholarship. During his high school career, he maintained a 4.5 GPA. He currently works at Discern Health as a Project Analyst.

Carmen Avalos
Saddleback High School, UC Berkley

Carmen is a student at UC Berkeley, studying Biochemistry. At Saddleback High School, she carried a 4.6 GPA. Carmen is an overachieving student in the subjects of chemistry and science whose ultimate goal is to become a biochemist. Carmen was part of the National Honor Society, the French club, MESA, Red Cross and the Young Senators program.

Irene graduated from t UC Irvine with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences degree in  Biomedical Engineering. During her time at Segerstrom, she held a 4.6 GPA. Currently, she works at Gildewell Dental as a Design Engineer.

Frank graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Computer Science. Frank has worked at Google as a Software Engineer for over a year.

Irene is studying at UC Irvine and majoring in Biomedical Engineering. During her time at Segerstromg, she held a 4.6 GPA. Irene excels in math and is an analytical student who aspires to become engineer. 

Jorge Campos

Valley High School, Santa Ana College

Jorge studies at Santa Ana College. He aspires to be a future engineer. Jorge is very studious and persistent which led him to become an excellent math and chemistry student. This scholar aspires to become an engineer and sees himself as an innovator.

Gyanna Canez
Segerstrom High School, Samuel Merritt

Gyanna graduated from Samuel Merritt University with a degree in Nursing. In high school, she had a 4.66 GPA Gyanna is a student who has demonstrates great leadership not only in math and science, but also strives to be an example of perseverance to her peers. She is a former member of the Advanced Drama Production class and hopes to obtain a career in nursing.

Ricardo graduated from UCSB with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. In high school, he had a 4.6 GPA. Ricardo over excels in math and loves technology. Currently, he works for Continental as an IT Systems Analyst.

Santa Ana High School, Chapman University

Jose is currently studying Math and Civil Engineering at Chapman University. He is a recipient of the Heide Scholarship. He completed high school with a 4.8 GPA. Jose has always aspired to become a Civil Engineer and has always demonstrated a strong character that shows responsibility. He excels in math and science. Jose is a former member of the Football Team at Santa Ana High School.

Anthony Gutierrez

Anthony attends CSU Monterey Bay where he is majoring in Marine Science and minoring in Math. At Century High School, he held a 4.05 GPA.  Anthony understands the value of helping sustain life in the ocean. Anthony recognizes that to always work hard and maintain a positive outlook in life is a valuable characteristic which will help him succeed in his academic endeavors.

Guadalupe Martinez
Santa Ana High School, Orange Coast College

Guadalupe goes to Orange Coast College, studying Math. At Santa Ana High School, she had a 4.0 GPA. Guadalupe was part of the Dance Production Team and the Folkloric program at Santa Ana High. She is interested in math and is excited to see how much she can incorporate with it.

Maria studies at UC Riverside. Along with studying she currently works at HealthNet. She aspires to be a future doctor. She graduated from Santa Ana High School with a 3.85 GPA. Maria is a confident outstanding biology master who aspires to be a biomedical engineer. Maria is a former member of the California Scholars Federation, Spanish Club, Red Cross Club, and in JV Softball.  

Omar Munoz
Segerstrom High School, UC Irvine

Omar is a student at UC Irvine where he studies Electrical Engineering. At Segerstrom High School, he carried a 4.3 GPA. Omar over excels in math and aspires to become an engineer. He was a very active member of the cross country team.

Jennifer currently attends Denison University, studying Biomedical Engineering. During high school, she held a 4.2 GPA. Jennifer has excelled in biology and eventually wants to become a biomedical engineer.

An graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Chemical Biology. He attended Godinez High School and graduated with a 4.35 GPA.  An was a member of the school’s orchestra, ACE, MESA, and the Academic Decathlon. Currently, he works as a Chemist at Immunialysis

Amy Perez
Saddleback High School, UCLA

Amy graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in English. Currently, she works as a tax associate at PricewaterhouseCooper. At Saddleback High School, she maintained a 4.6 GPA.  She is a former member of the high school soccer team and also ran cross country and track. She was also a part of the MESA and EAOP clubs at Saddleback.  

Gabriela Pichardo
Century High School, UC Irvine

 

 

Gabriela studies at UC Irvine. She aspires to be a future engineer. She graduated high school with a 4.40 GPA. Gabriela is an excellent student in math and her greatest attribute is being a responsible young lady. Gabriela is a former member of the National Honor Society, the EAOP program and in the Academic Talent Search Program. She enjoys volunteering during her free time.

Juan Ruiz
Santa Ana High School, Cal Poly Pomona

 

 

Juan is a student at Cal Poly Pomona. He is majoring in Mechanical Engineering. In high school, he held a 3.93 GPA. Juan aspires to become a civil engineer who is interested in this field because he wants to understand the connection to life mechanisms and everything else.

Karina studied Biomedical Engineering at UC Davis. At Century High School, she carried a 4.00 GPA. Karina is strong in Math and is an aspiring pediatrician with a persistent go getter attitude. In high school, Karina is participated in cross country and liked to tutor math for her peers.

Jonathan studied microbiology at UCLA. He is on the Pre-Med track, majoring in Microbiology, Immununology, and Molecular Genetics, and minoring in Environmental Engineering. He graduated high school with a 4.7 GPA. Jonathan is a talented student that has shown leadership in his academics by excelling in math and chemistry. At Valley High School, he participated in th California Scholars Federation, AVID, Honors Principal Role, Upper Bound and Young Senators Program.
