Roberto Ramos

Roberto Ramos is a Santa Ana native who graduated from Godinez Fundamental High School in the Santa Ana Unified School District in 2017. As a first-generation college student, he pursued a B.A. degree in Biology at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio where he graduated with Honors and a minor in Chemistry in 2021. As a part of his Honors project, he worked with Dr. Marta Laskowski to research and write a thesis on early plant development.
Today, Roberto dedicates himself to enabling the future generation of STEM scholars to reach their career aspirations, aiming to make STEM more accessible to under-resourced communities who’ve historically been underserved in the field. Having experienced the struggles of entering STEM as a first-generation college student, Roberto understands the difficulties that future students with similar upbringings may face. As an AISS Program Instructor he harnesses his passion for increasing STEM accessibility to empower our scholars to be successful STEM professional.
